The Beck
Subluxation Model
- Accurately predicts and determines the
subluxation and its correction based on the patients dominant muscle side.
- Offers nearly a 100% intra-examiner reliability.
- Explains why switching does not exist. Explains why the fixated side may not be the correct side to adjust although you may achieve immediate positive results. Shows why repeat adjusting may produce negative results and lead to the problem becoming chronic.
- In conjunction with ©Beck Correlated & Integrated Techniques allows you to continue utilizing your favorite technique and achieve nearly 100% intra-examiner reliability.

Most theories on subluxations have assumed
that subluxations are random. The various technique theories would then devise ways of locating and correcting the subluxation complex. Unfortunately, even among practitioners of the same technique, many times there is poor intra-examiner reliability. Many times the indicators that the practitioner is searching for to determine a subluxation are vague. The accuracy of determining subluxations among practitioners utilizing different techniques has even less intra-examiner reliability. Techniques have attempted to locate spinal
subluxations by such diverse means as: muscle testing, static palpation, motion palpation, x-ray analysis, leg length, arm length, leg reactivity, different biomechanical theories, communicating with the body, attempting to read body energy, mental imaging, neurological concepts such as the metric system, and many other theories too numerous to mention.
The Beck Theoretical Model of Subluxation postulates that subluxations do not occur randomly. It allows practitioners to experience nearly 100% intra-examiner reliability. In fact practitioners may continue to use different techniques yet obtain close to a 100% intra- examiner reliability. Certain technique theories are shown to be invalid (e.g. Barge Tortipelvis), but the Beck Theory explains why some patients may be helped by these technique if utilized for only a short duration. Beck Correlated & Integrated Techniques allows you to utilize many different techniques to accomplish the same goal.

WHAT KIND OF CONDITIONS DO WE HANDLE?
DR. BECK LOOKS AT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE HUMAN BODY.

- ASTHMA & ALLERGIES
- PHYSICAL AILMENTS RESULTING FROM FAULTY SPINAL BIOMECHANICS (e.g. certain cases of: hypertension, asthma, GI problems, infertility, migraines, endocrine disorders, etc. having a spinal subluxation component).
DR. BECK HANDLES MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONDITIONS:
- FAILED BACK SURGERY
- CARPAL TUNNEL
- AUTOMOBILE INJURIES
Please note that many physical ailments may not have a spinal
subluxation component and may not be influenced by spinal
manipulative care. Patients that do respond usually experience
improvement within the first 2 to 3 visits. Many times, the only
way to see if spinal manipulative care will help is to try it and see.
There is no downside. In the instances that a physical problem responds to Chiropractic manipulative care (adjustments - very specific manipulations), results are usually quick and long-lasting. We have had patients with conditions such as asthma and allergies show permanent improvement within a couple of visits. Response was so dramatic that no physical signs remained and they were released by their allergists, although they previously required one or two allergy shots a week that provided little to no relief of symptoms. Even if your physical condition does not respond to care, you have lost nothing. Care is very gentle and safe. At least you will feel confident that you gave yourself, your loved one, friends or family a shot at truly regaining their health, in sharp contrast to the alternative of requiring a lifetime of medical and drug treatment (many times quite ineffective with negative outcomes).
Regardless of your symptoms, you should always be evaluated by a Chiropractor.
